Support Gynecological Cancer Awareness This September!

September is a month that is full of oncologic health awareness dedications that include recognition and support for Blood Cancers (ALL, AML, CLL, CML, Hodgkins & Non-Hodgkins Lymphoma), Childhood Cancers, Prostate Cancer, Thyroid Cancer, and Gynecological cancers (Cervical, Ovarian, Uterine/Endometrial, Vaginal & Vulvar cancers).

Quick 12 aims to support nurses and healthcare providers across the country.  Based on the statistics of the last completed National Nursing Workforce Study, it is estimated that women make up approximately 90.6% of the 4.2 million registered nurses in the United States.  This September, we want to focus on promoting Women's health by raising awareness of GYN cancers - by sharing available screening, detection, treatment, and support resources.

One organization that we want to highlight this month is the Foundation for Women's Cancer.  A direct link to the foundation's website can be found here at: foundationforwomenscancer.org.  This incredible organization has created a tool that provides an wealth of information about: GYN cancer symptoms and treatment, risk and prevention strategies, current clinical trials and survivor stories all provided free-of-cost to both educate and support those affected by any of the 5-main forms of gynecologic cancer.
